As to what
particular course is suitable for yourself, that depends
entirely on what you wish to secure the requisite licence and
ratings for.
If it is your wish
to rent out a single piston engine aircraft from a flying club
to fly solo for a couple of hours as a weekend hobby, then a
PPL course is what you need to undertake to secure a Private
Pilot's Licence and Rating.
If it is your wish
to begin a career as a commercial pilot in the air freight or
airlines industry, then a CPL/IR course which seamlessly
integrates a Frozen ATPL
course is what you need to undertake to secure a Commercial
Pilot Licence with Instrument Rating and a Frozen Airlines
Transport Pilot Licence.
If it is your wish
to begin a career as an assistant flight instructor in a
flight training establishment or a flying club and work your
way on up from there to a full fledged flight instructor, then
a CPL/IR course and thereafter an AFI course is what your need
to undertake to secure a Commercial Pilot Licence with
Instrument Rating and an Assistant Flying Instructor Rating.
